About

Who We Are

At Appalachian athletics, we love watching our athletes' hit goals. Which is why we ensure that our athletes have all the resources they need to help them learn and grow. For us, it's not just about the competitions. It's about helping athletes learn and to transform lives within Front Royal and beyond. Every decision we make is to help our athletes soar and help guide them to be the best versions of themselves.

MEET THE COACHES

4 sisters with the dream to help athletes learn and grow inside and outside of the gym.

Coach Hill

I have been in the world of cheer since I was 8 years old. I love cheer because it brought me out of my shell and taught me confidence. And I cannot wait to help do the same for all of the athletes I have the privilege of working with. We are ready to bring a new fun place for athletes to grow. Anyone and everyone is welcome!!!

Coach Carter

I discovered my passion for cheerleading at the age of 12, and since then, it has been an integral part of my life. Beyond high school, my dedication to the sport led me to coach. I began coaching shortly after graduating at a local gym, and now, as the head competition coach at Skyline High School. My goal is to inspire young athletes to excel. Cheerleading is more than just a sport; it's a transformative experience that builds confidence and fosters growth. I believe in creating an environment where athletes can thrive, both on and off the mat. I will strive to instill the same love, dedication, and resilience that cheerleading has instilled in me.

Coach Zoey

I have been involved in cheer since I was a little girl and believe it’s really helped me become the person I am today. I am passionate about involving technique and repetition when it comes to skill building, ensuring a safe environment for our athletes. I can’t wait to share my knowledge of cheer and help the athletes grow and achieve their goals!

Coach Shawnee

Hello :)) I am beyond excited to be opening a cheer gym with my sisters. This is something we've dreamed and talked about for many years and it's finally happening!

Some of my earliest memories are in the cheer gym. I've been a part of the cheer world since I was 4 years old. Cheer has truly made me the person I am today. It's taught me commitment, perseverance and confidence. I hope to teach our cheerleaders all of that and much more.
